These terms of service govern the provision of website design, hosting, and related services by Cats Whiskers Web Designs, operated by Ross Davies, Fareham, Hampshire, UK. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
Services provided
Cats Whiskers Web Designs provides website design, hosting, and ongoing maintenance services primarily for cat breeders and cat clubs in the United Kingdom. Our standard service includes an initial website build, secure hosting, and updates to your website content on request. The specific services provided to you will be agreed in writing or by email before work begins.
Payment
Our standard annual fee is £295, which covers hosting, maintenance, and content updates for a full year. Payment is due on the anniversary of your website going live. We will send an invoice in advance of your renewal date. Services will continue uninterrupted provided payment is received within 30 days of the invoice date.
For the GCCF Annual Returns service, fees are £60 for balance sheet preparation, £20 for the return form, or £80 for both. Payment is due on completion of the work.
What is included
Your annual fee includes hosting on our secure servers, SSL certificate, routine security and software updates, and content updates to your website carried out by us on your request. There is no additional charge for routine updates such as adding kitten listings, uploading show results, or changing contact details.
What is not included
Additional services beyond the standard package — such as SEO work, social media management, or significant redesigns — are available at an agreed additional cost. We will always confirm the cost of any additional work before proceeding.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing us with accurate and up-to-date content for your website, and for notifying us promptly when updates are needed. You confirm that any text, images, or other content you provide to us is either owned by you or that you have the right to use it on your website. You are responsible for ensuring your website content complies with applicable laws, including those relating to the sale of animals and consumer protection.
Intellectual property
The website design, code, and structure created by Cats Whiskers Web Designs remains our intellectual property until your account is fully paid up, at which point you have a licence to use the website for its intended purpose. Your own content — text, photographs, and information about your cattery or club — remains your property at all times.
Cancellation
You may cancel your service at any time by giving us written notice by email. If you cancel part-way through a paid year, we do not offer refunds for the unused portion of the year. On cancellation, we will provide you with a copy of your website files on request.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services where an invoice remains unpaid after 60 days, or where a client is in serious breach of these terms.
Limitation of liability
We take all reasonable care in the provision of our services. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted website availability, as this is subject to factors outside our control including hosting infrastructure and third-party services. Our liability in connection with any service failure is limited to the annual fee paid for that year.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page and will apply to new and renewing clients from the date of publication. This document was last updated in March 2026.
